Thank you to all who came out to support Afrodisiac’s Grand Opening and Birthday Celebration. The spirit and energy that each of you brought made the event one to remember. It felt like family, like an old school house party where people came together just to enjoy each other and have some fun. The entire flow of the night was hype! The Grand Opening Celebration began at 8:00 p.m. with natural hair demonstrations by Faatimah and make-up demonstrations by Alexis Fagan as the models were getting ready for the night. Guests began streaming in to the sounds of the dj playing a variety of good music, while the models began serving hors d’ouvres, including chocolate dipped strawberries and oysters, to say the least. Mmmm. Guests were receiving consultations, Muna Dualle was doing Henna designs, and the children were dancing around and enjoying themselves.
As the Grand Opening ended, the Birthday Celebration started. At 10:00, the dj changed the music changed and got the party started—the lights were dimmed, the children had gone home, and the adults threw down on the dance floor. All the Pisces in the house were invited to the floor to celebrate, make a wish and blow out the candles on a delicious lip-shaped cake. The night was just amazing—with music, dancing, gift-giveaways, massages, and communing that lasted until early morning!
We would like to thank everyone who came out, those who have supported Afrodisiac from the beginning and who continue to support us as we grow and make your experience with us better and more meaningful. We would like to extend a special thanks to each of the models, who worked it out the entire night, Empress, Jada, Sep Sin Akhi, and Muhaira; to the phenomenal makeup artist, Alexis Fagan; Henna artist, Muna Dualle; DJ Majestic; the mc, D Love; the bartender, Saxton; Aleem Shabazz of Plated Pleasures Catering; the photographer, Marion Frank of Star Quality Photos; the artist and painter, Edward Myers; Yolanda of Kitten Kaboodle, who designed the invite; and to everyone who decorated and ran errands. The night would not have been such a success without each and every one of you.
Love to All,
Afrodisiac Natural Hair and Wellness Salon
